Hi, Mulberry Staff! Here are some samples of my work that I’ve chosen for you :)
You can see more on my public website, saramann.me, or on Instagram @floatingparaguas.
Claim Me (a visual poem about Hamilton)
These are visuals I created to go with a poem called “Claim Me,” about the city of Hamilton, written by poet Lishai Peel as part of her poet-in-place residency in Hamilton in 2025. They are digital composites of ephemeral paintings made with gouache and oil paint on drywall joint compound. If hung in a gallery, they would exist in permanent form as framed archival inkjet prints.
Colorful Corners
These are whimsical interiors and other energetic impressions of home that I created using traditional mediums (e.g. oil paint on wood panel, gouache and pastel on Arches paper).

Light in Winter
These are pieces that meditate on winter in Hamilton. I created them using nontraditional materials (like cooking oil, photographed window light, and a winter coat and boots as printmaking tools) along with some established painting techniques.
