I was an 11th and 12th grade English teacher for ten years at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School in Acton, Massachusetts after receiving my Bachelors and Masters degrees in English and Teaching from Brown University. In that decade, I continued to pursue my writing and art on the side. I loved classroom teaching and never thought I’d leave my school, but when my husband got offered a job at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, we decided to try our hands at being Canadian for a while. So far, we like it. When I'm not working on the projects featured here or trying to understand the terms of my international phone plan, I'm often swimming or playing goofy instruments with my two young sons.
